Rock, Paper, Scissors Championship

Nov 24, 2003 — Check this out. I found it very interesting, being a [link http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/nm/20031026/wl_canada_nm/canada_odd_rockpaper_col_1]rock,paper,scissors[/link] junkie myself.

Dylan says:

This is awesome. Two quotes did it for me.
To achieve the lofty title of World RPS Champion, he threw a combination of rock-paper-paper, defeating his opponent's offering of three rocks.
I mean, just read that. The fact that you can "throw a combo" in Rock, Paper, Scissors just defies words.

The other one that got me was,
"We take rock, paper, scissors about as seriously as you take something like rock, paper, scissors."
I have to admit, I couldn't have come up with a better analogy.

rnewhouse says:

These combinations have names: Rock, paper, paper is called "Fistful of Dollars" and "rock, rock, rock" is called "avalanche."

There is strategy, and gambits, and rules of competition to this thing! Naturally there is an [link http://www.worldrps.com/index.html]official website[/link]. (Is there anything that doesn't have an official website these days?)

My biggest question is, how do you train for something like this?

JustMe says:

It takes many hours of hard, dedicated practice. That, or a lot of nothing else to do.
